Treasure Hunting in Puebla

Puebla is the 4th largest city in the country of Mexico and is somewhat hidden in the shadow of Mexico City which sits 1 hour to the Northwest.  Puebla has a lot to offer so we set off to find some cool stuff in the various markets.  We captured some things very typical of Mexico and a few things unique to Puebla.

Starting with the typical things we found shops that specialize on niches that are not common in the US.

This store sold cleaning products

Primarly a bean store

Egg, oil, sugar and milk store

Dog food and eggs?

Styrofoam and plasticware

On the flip side Elle found a Barbie doll dressed in fiesta garb.

Then we hit paydirt!  Av. 6 Oriente which is commonly called the "Street of Candies".  It's an entire 3 city blocks of stores that almost exclusively sell candy.  The kids were in heaven.  JACKPOT!

From this point all the way to that silver dome in the distance are noting but candy stores.
